Hoe leren kleuters via spel en theater?

Kleuters leren niet vanuit stappenplannen of methodes, maar door te spelen, te bewegen en te ervaren. In deze workshop staat theater als rijke leeromgeving centraal. Via spel, verbeelding en lichamelijke expressie komen ontwikkelingsgebieden als taal, rekenen, emoties en wereldoriëntatie samen.

Prentenboeken vormen het vertrekpunt van het theatrale avontuur. Jij als leerkracht of theaterdocent wordt reisleider, die kleuters uitnodigt het verhaal binnen te stappen, te beleven en vorm te geven. Tijdens deze workshop ontwerp je zelf lessen en opdrachten rondom een prentenboek, vanuit een aantal basisprincipes.

De workshop wordt gegeven door Bart Roelofs – theaterdocent, maker en cultuurcoach bij Kunstkade. Hij ontwikkelt en geeft theaterlessen waarin het spelende en onderzoekende kind centraal staat. Bart verbindt onderwijs en cultuur, en neemt leerkrachten en kinderen mee in een gedeeld theatraal avontuur.

How do young children learn through play and theatre?

Young children don’t learn from step-by-step methods or instruction manuals. They learn by playing, moving, and experiencing. In this workshop, theatre is explored as a rich learning environment. Through play, imagination and physical expression, areas such as language, numeracy, emotions and world orientation come together.

Picture books serve as the starting point for this theatrical journey. As a teacher or theatre educator, you become the guide, inviting children into the story, helping them experience and shape it. During this session, you will design your own lessons and activities based on a picture book, using a set of simple principles.

This workshop is led by Bart Roelofs – theatre educator, maker and cultural coach at Kunstkade. He develops and teaches theatre lessons in which the playful, curious child is always central. Bart connects education and culture, and takes both teachers and children along in a shared theatrical adventure.
