How to take apart water.. ..and how to put it back together: Visual research exploring memory objects and water
What?
Workshop by Studio Wouter van Tilborg:
In this workshop you will work with an personal object(s) (bring it with you) of a memory that is connected with water. Use a memory that you will be comfortable sharing. If the object is too big, make photos of it. During the workshop you will work on a visual research of deconstructing the memory object and look for ways on how all the parts find their way back into creating abstract water. Focus on making new images, with your object as a starting point and stay curious. Experiment! The process is the product!
Why?
By learning about your creative process creates a confendence that can be used at later moments in your career. For example when your need to start with a project but have no inspiration or when you get stuck during a process. Sometimes the answer is (around) you. This method of using memory and objects can be one way to get things going.
Studio Wouter van Tilborg
The workshop is done by graphic designer and visual researcher Wouter van Tilborg. He is a designer that is very interested in the creative process itself. Next to commercial projects he always makes time to experiment and look for new ways to learn and challenge himself.
